Multi-criteria Choosing Design Engineers’ Technical Skills Measurement Tool in Recruitment Management in Mechanical Engineering Industry
摘要
One of the main requirements for qualification of design engineers in the mechanical engineering industry is the possession of such technical skills as having proficiency with designing machinery and mechanisms, preparing engineering documentation, working with different specialized tools (AutoCAD, nanoCAD, Solidworks, etc.) when solving engineering problems. The level of these skills can be measured indirectly by analysing candidate’s work experience or directly by giving to the candidate qualification tasks and reviewing quality of their implementation. In the latter case, assessment rubrics, being actively adopted at the various stages of staff recruitment in diverse areas, including industry, can be leveraged. However, in scientific literature, a question related to the choice of assessment rubric, the most usable for measuring technical skills of candidates for the design engineer position, remains unworked. A suggested approach to multi-criteria choosing a design engineers’ technical skills measurement tool powered by PROMETHEE method family, meeting needs of the key recruitment stakeholders and having software implementation, will help to eliminate this research gap.
