Micromanufacturing of Ultrathin Metal Foils via Rolling Processes
摘要
This chapter reviews the key factors influencing the production of ultrathin materials through rolling processes, including roll configurations, rolling force, and material properties. Beyond conventional rolling methods, innovative techniques such as asymmetrical rolling, Sendzimir mill rolling, double rolling, and accumulative pack rolling offer potential solutions to surpass theoretical thickness limits. Moreover, the chapter discusses the mechanical properties of ultrathin materials, including extreme extensibility and size effects, while presenting the underlying mechanisms driving these phenomena.
