This research aims to explore the relationships between individual resources, barriers to growth entrepreneurs encounter, and growth intention among selected SMEs in Malaysia. In September 2023, we conducted interviews with five (5) SME owners or managers in Klang Valley area and for each category, explored themes were then established. These exploratory skills are specifically personal traits and skills that are integral in human capital such as basic skills, consistency, honesty, mental strength, passion and patience, risk taker, marketing acumen, locus of control, and past experience. Thus, these benefits help the Entrepreneur to infiltrate the business world and carry out their plans. Entrepreneurial Skills: The skills refer to what were referred to as the ten skills that all successful entrepreneurs practice, including communication, human resources, leadership, technical competence, personal intelligence, management, networking, innovation, culture, and financial management. Having the knowledge of such skills is important for you to notice the prospects and then conduct your business accordingly. External Elements: External forces such as family assistance, creativity, mentorship, social media, a team approach, resources, market inclination, and government policies play a significant role in business. Barriers: The study identified four major barriers (competition, customer problems, availability of raw materials and changes in costs).
