A survey by various institutions and ministries of MSMEs found that the COVID-19 outbreak significantly impacted MSME sustainability, with an estimated 47% of MSMEs ceasing operations. Many face cash flow issues and layoffs, compounded by distribution disruptions and reduced purchasing power. To support MSMEs, especially in Bengkalis City, a swift response is essential. Enhancing competitive advantage strategies and utilizing e-commerce can improve MSME performance. E-commerce facilitates electronic sales, allowing businesses to reach customers regardless of distance or time, thereby increasing efficiency and innovation. This study aims to examine the effects of competitive advantage and e-commerce on MSME performance. The population in this study were all MSMEs in Bengkalis City, with a sample size of 100 MSMEs. The sample was selected using criterion sampling, and data was processed using multiple regression analysis in SPSS version 25.0. This study found that competitive advantage and e-commerce significantly impact MSME performance. These results contribute to accounting literature and can help identify factors to enhance MSME performance. Future research could include variables such as product innovation and accounting information systems.
