Habitat Restoration
摘要
Habitat restoration has been at the core of the environmental movement since the 1960s. This chapter reviews this movement, e.g. the establishment of environmental law, plus our direct involvements by EAOs in various habitat restorations and protections. These restorations are most often initiated and energized by the collective duties of virtue practiced by our environmental advocacy organizations (EAOs). This is illustrated in this chapter through a review of the impressive long-term successful efforts of the Mystic River Watershed Association, an important local EAO that has directed the restoration efforts for an urban-suburban river in the Boston area.
