This chapter takes a look at the improvement possibilities that quantum computing brings in accelerating the achievement of Sustainable Energy Development Goal 7. The goal’s aim is to ‘ensure access by all people to energy which is affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern. This effort is focused on energy management of solar photovoltaic (PV). The chapter considers how the quantum computer can be applied in energy forecasting, grid integration, and storage optimization. Making use of quantum computing’s superior simulation and optimization techniques, this chapter will be theoretical and practical when it regards to ways of improving and enhancing solar PV systems. A discourse of how quantum computing to be integrated into solar power energy management systems, aimed at helping meet Sustainable Development Goal 7 which states that everyone should have access to reliable and sustainable energy resources and technology at affordable prices. There is an effort to solve the problem of management of solar PV energy with the help of quantum computing taking UN SDG 7 into consideration as it’s current. In this sense, energy management systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, as part of a renewable energy system, are critical for solving the energy crisis and achieving SDG 7. The approach outlined above is somewhat vague; however, it is appropriate to say that the concept will potentially have a global reach.
