Madelung deformity is a rare hand deformity defined by abnormal growth arrest of the distal radius epiphysis. Patient presentation ranges from asymptomatic, cosmetic complaint due to prominent ulna, or wrist pain and restricted range of motion. Similarly, management varies widely, depending on patient presentation and complaints. Common procedures include corrective osteotomies, radial dome osteotomy, ulnar shortening, as well as other wrist stabilization procedures. The use of virtual surgical planning has gained popularity and is now commonly used when performing forearm osteotomy procedures. We highlight a case of treating Madelung deformity, using radial opening wedge osteotomy and ulnar shortening osteotomy, utilizing virtual surgical planning.
