Moore’s Law
摘要
This chapter explores the legacy and evolving relevance of Moore’s Law, first proposed in 1965 and revised in 1975. It traces the historical development and transformative impact of this principle on the semiconductor industry. Moore’s Law is still alive, and continues to influence the industry’s trajectory through well-defined roadmaps in transistor scaling, interconnect technologies, and lithography. Beyond these core areas, advancements in memory and packaging also play crucial roles in sustaining progress. The chapter concludes by highlighting key figures who have made significant contributions to the advancement of semiconductor technology.
