In this chapter, we will rather briefly discuss two modern generalisations of ‘classical’ Newton–Cartan gravity: torsional Newton–Cartan gravity on the one hand, and string Newton–Cartan geometry on the other hand. Since these are very broad fields of active research, by its very nature our brief overview can only provide a crude sketch; for further details, we refer to the original literature.

摘要

In this chapter, we will rather briefly discuss two modern generalisations of ‘classical’ Newton–Cartan gravity: torsional Newton–Cartan gravity on the one hand, and string Newton–Cartan geometry on the other hand. Since these are very broad fields of active research, by its very nature our brief overview can only provide a crude sketch; for further details, we refer to the original literature.
