Over the past decades, universities and their business schools have integrated a wide range of digital technologies into their educational models. In doing so, these institutions typically aim to enhance student learning outcomes. In this chapter, we examine the relationship between technology adoption and student learning, with a focus on both individual and collaborative learning. Our review of relevant literature highlights how key emerging technologies – such as augmented reality, blockchain, and generative AI – can be applied in business education contexts. Notably, our analysis identifies distinct ways in which the adoption of each of these technologies influences individual and collaborative learning. We conclude by discussing the implications of these findings for the integration of emerging technologies in education.
