Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatments, providing dramatic improvements in survival for patients with various malignancies. Despite recent advances, a large percentage of patients with primary and metastatic hepatic malignancies still have limited response to immunotherapy. The addition of locoregional treatments to immunotherapy offers an opportunity to produce a synergistic antitumor effect. This chapter summarizes existing data regarding combination immunotherapy and liver-directed treatments. Emerging concepts related to immunotherapy and image-guided interventions will be addressed.
