Intelligent Tutoring Systems: A Bibliometric Analysis

Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITSs) are revolutionizing the landscape of education by providing personalized learning experiences that adapt to the individual needs of students. By leveraging artificial intelligence, ITSs enhance educational outcomes and foster engagement across diverse learning environments. This article presents a bibliometric analysis of research publications on ITSs, aiming to illuminate trends and insights within this evolving field. We considered articles published between 2019 and 2024, applying several filters to ensure relevance and quality, ultimately obtaining a final dataset of 1 426 documents. This analysis serves as a valuable resource for researchers, offering a clearer perspective on the developments and future directions in the domain of Intelligent Tutoring Systems.
