In reviewing the research questions and further discussing China’s developmental model and African policies, it is important to look into what both China and African countries gain from this new model of higher education exchange and cooperation. As mentioned above, China’s higher education engagement with Africa is based on mutuality and respect that goes beyond the traditional framework of foreign aid and a zero-sum viewpoint.
