Now that we have familiarized ourselves with the control hardware that is used in various laboratory settings, we’ll dive into the software side of things. In this chapter we will look at the software that sits directly on top of instrumentation as opposed to the software that might run simulations on your laptop or in the cloud, since we will cover that side of things in a later chapter. Code is provided for programming various types of instruments as examples throughout the chapter.
