The previous chapter covered the techniques for operating a quantum processor. However, these techniques must employ certain scientific instruments such as Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs), Digital to Analog Converters (DACs), voltage sources, lock-ins, digitizers, high-frequency and baseband Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs), laser sources and more. A working understanding of these instruments is crucial for any quantum computer engineer. We provide a case study of IonQ’s quantum computer control systems near the end of the chapter.

摘要

The previous chapter covered the techniques for operating a quantum processor. However, these techniques must employ certain scientific instruments such as Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs), Digital to Analog Converters (DACs), voltage sources, lock-ins, digitizers, high-frequency and baseband Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs), laser sources and more. A working understanding of these instruments is crucial for any quantum computer engineer. We provide a case study of IonQ’s quantum computer control systems near the end of the chapter.
