The publication describes the main projects related to the digitalisation of education and science in Ukraine and the promotion of the profession of scientist. These projects were implemented by the team of the Scholar Support Office in 2022–2024. Supporting scientists and promoting national science is important for ensuring the country’s sustainable development, enhancing the competitiveness and well-being of all countries. This area of organisational activity in the scientific area requires support from the government, research institutions, higher education institutions, NGOs, and the scientific community itself. The main projects of the Scholar Support Office were focused on digitalisation of education and science; development of individual career trajectory of scientists; promotion of scientific achievements of Ukrainian researchers; provision of organisational and social support for the interests of scientists; promotion of cooperation between scientific institutions and/or higher education institutions, international scientific and foreign scientific institutions, etc. The article describes the factors that hinder the promotion of national science including lack of targeted state support for the promotion of science and raising the scientists’ prestige; lack of special professional training for scientists on the branding and various aspects of promoting their own scientific results and innovations; lack of communication between scientists and media professionals; scientists’ mistrust in the work of journalists, etc.
