The publication analyzes the training of future Doctors of Philosophy and Doctors of Science in the context of the digital transformation of society. PhD candidates trained according to the principles of open science will not only successfully complete their doctoral programs but also make a significant contribution to the advancement of science. The publication also examines and selects open science tools for organizing the training of future Doctors of Philosophy and conducting scientific research in various areas of application: tools for storing and providing free access to scientific publications and research data; tools for experience exchange and sharing research results; tools for communication and collaborative research work; tools for evaluating the quality and impact of scientific publications; and tools for educating researchers and students on the use of open science instruments, among others. A model for developing the digital and analytical competencies of future Doctors of Philosophy through the use of open science tools was created and substantiated. Integrating open science tools into the training of PhD candidates offers several positive benefits, such as increasing access to relevant research and resources; reducing costs associated with acquiring educational materials through the use of open educational resources; enhancing international collaboration and researcher exchange; improving the quality of scientific research; increasing the competitiveness of postgraduate program, and more.
