As we write this book in 2025, we face uncertain times. The rise of fascism and the far-right in many countries is amplifying the voices of white supremacy and empire. Significant and hard-fought gains made by Indigenous Peoples are being undermined, while unabated global heating is increasing threats to both the human and more-than-human communities (IPBES, 2019; IPCC, 2022). This book focuses on Indigenous-Settler relations with the more-than-human community in the settler colonial contexts of Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and the USA. In all three places, these relationships are increasingly under pressure.

摘要
