Eco-Intelligence: Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping Sustainable Consumer Decisions

Due to environmental, social, and economic pressures, sustainability has become a focus across most fields. It is a generic concept for most product categories, from building to electronics. At the same time, artificial intelligence (AI) breakthroughs have been used in innovative solutions and increased efficiencies in multiple industries. With this in mind, the paper looks into the relation between the AI applications in sustainable products and the aim for improvement in product development towards sustainability in production, distribution, and consumption without neglecting environmental impacts. We find potential benefits, adoption rate among early adopter, challenges met during implementation, and future directions.
