Evolving Landscape of Micro Pollutants and Developments in Bio Remediation Techniques

This chapter offers a comprehensive understanding of how micropollutants are formed from various sources and how they can be reduced through bioremediation methods. It also focus on how these micropollutants are effects the living organisms along with their reduction strategies also. On the other hand this chapter which also focus on bio remediation techniques which will provides a detailed look into the nature of micropollutants, classifying them based on different criteria, and highlights their sources of micropollutants which are already present in various sources like land, water, air etc. The chapter begins by introducing the concept of micropollutants, outlining their sources of emission and exploring ways to mitigate their effects. It then focus into bioremediation, by defining the process and explaining various techniques for bio remediation process and also discussed about their roles in reduction of micropollutants. In addition, the chapter outlines the advantages of bioremediation, such as being eco-friendly and cost-effective, and it examines the challenges that arise during these processes. At the end of this chapter looks to the future, highlighting emerging innovations that could enhance bioremediation. It discusses advanced technologies like Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs), Microbial Enzyme Engineering (MEE), and Nano biotechnology which have the potential to revolutionize how micropollutants are managed. These innovations offer a pathway for future researchers and innovators working on new solutions for micropollutant reduction.
