Integrating Circular Economy Principles with Advanced Treatment Strategies of Micropollutant
摘要
Micropollutants are anthropogenic contaminants present in the environment at trace levels, which could range between micrograms to picograms per liter or kilogram. These minute contaminants are often invisible to the naked eye but emerge as serious problems to the ecosystem and human health. Some natural and synthetic organic compounds are among these contaminants include pharmaceuticals, personal care products (PPCPs), perfluoroalkyl and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), nanomaterials, steroid hormones, pesticides, and plasticizers.
