Implementing Sustainable Practices in India: Strategies for Reducing Plastic Waste, Improving Water Access, and Enhancing Environmental Health
摘要
India faces significant environmental challenges due to plastic waste and water management issues. This article explores various sustainable practices aimed at reducing plastic waste, improving water access, and promoting environmental health. We propose installing water tanks in train bogies and providing low-cost water filling stations at transit points. Additionally, promoting homemade products, mandating rainwater harvesting in buildings, supporting organic farming, enhancing milk distribution systems, and initiating large-scale tree planting are recommended. These strategies support multiple sustainable development goals (SDGs), including responsible consumption and production, clean water and sanitation, climate action, and life on land.
