The current urban waste management not only lacks efficient segregation of waste, but also hygiene maintenance and effective mosquito control as it is very crucial for public health. This paper introduces an AI powered smart dustbin that is designed to segregate wet waste, dry and recyclable materials for efficient recycling and disposal at the same time prevents mosquito breeding, enhances hygiene through smart fragrance management. Our system uses AI driven image classification to detect waste types-dry, wet and recyclable and then directs them to the designated chambers using servo control mechanisms. Additionally, smart sensors including moisture detector ultrasonic sensors and load cells enhances the accuracy for waste classification. To tackle mosquito breeding the dustbin is equipped with a humidity activated repellent system an essential oil dispenser, and a UV zapper effectively disrupting breeding conditions and repelling mosquitoes. A fragrance adaptor neutralizes odors ensuring a fresh smelling environment. The system functions autonomously and can be integrated with IOT based monitoring for real time data tracking by combining AI, smart hygiene solution and autonomous technologies, this dustbin offers a sustainable and innovative solution for the modern urban waste management system.
