Growing awareness of achieving circular economy and the willingness of people to act upon it are major contributing factors that facilitate the need for research on Green festivals. The article examines the significance of embracing environmental friendly green festivals among developed and developing nations. The present study is primarily conceptual, based upon an extensive review of literature, and other relevant sources. Numerous research journal articles are examined and analysed to assess the contributions of Green Festival toward achieving sustainability. The study focuses on a comparative analysis by looking at various case studies and understanding the practical implications of green festivals in developed and developing nations. Green festivals have become a method to create differentiation in a competitive market of event management and simultaneously contribute to the economy. It has been discovered that there are no such policy frameworks or laws for the festival industry to make the events more environmentally friendly. Thus, Green festivals and events are based on the need to satiate the ecological and social wants of achieving sustainable development by identifying even the most basic practices used on a daily basis and upscaling them so that it can create a larger impact. This study emphasizes the importance of designing and managing green festivals so that the vibrant energy of festivals is preserved. It bridges the gap between the challenges faced and the solutions that could help popularise the concept of Green festivals to achieve the goals of circular economy in both developed and developing nations.
