This chapter covers various methods of analyzing and utilizing alternating current (AC) circuits. Starting with an introduction to alternating current, responses of resistor, capacitor and inductor as well as those of series combinations of these have been calculated using trigonometric calculations, phasor and complex impedance methods. It has been shown that these circuits can be utilized as low pass, high pass and band pass filters as well as phase shifters besides as differentiating and integrating circuits.
