A Review of Firewall Strategy Techniques in Securing a Network Infrastructure

Network security is important for primarily protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data resources within the computer network. Currently, most of the data transferred over the network consists of sensitive information, and the enhancement of network security is important to prevent the information from unauthorized user access. The networks are always constantly targeted by attackers who seek to exploit vulnerabilities to data theft and sabotage. Thus, the security of the network is important, and many types of prevention are practiced in protecting the computer network. The firewall is a network security device designed to monitor, filter, and control incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. The primary purpose of the firewall is to establish a barrier to secure the network from attackers and data breaches. Firewalls can operate at different layers of the OSI model, including the network layer and the application layer. Thus, to identify the security of the network infrastructure, a review of firewall safe guide techniques is conducted. This technique is important to implement to enable the network infrastructure to be protected using firewall safe guide techniques. Then the systematic firewall security techniques are identified and categorized into different methods of implementation. As a result, firewall safe guide techniques and the systematic implementation type for firewall strategy techniques are defined for securing a network infrastructure. Thus, the conclusion of the study shows the importance of firewall safe guide techniques and firewall security techniques used for securing the infrastructure, providing a valuable conclusion.
