摘要
Oral history through life story works has emerged as an effective method for the support and care of patients with dementia. The use of life stories has been demonstrated to assist in the maintenance of patients’ identity and self-esteem, improvement of their quality of life and the implementation of personalized care, strengthening of bonds with their carers, enhancement of cognitive function, and creation of invaluable records that preserve their memories before they are lost. This review seeks to present a comprehensive overview of the potential applications of oral history in the contemporary digital age within the context of dementia care.
