The oral cavity is connected to systemic health, with dental pathologies often influencing and being influenced by systemic conditions. Oral diseases, such as periodontitis and dental infections, have been associated with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other chronic conditions, highlighting the bidirectional relationship between oral and general health. In addition, mastication plays a key role in digestion, nutrition, and neuromuscular function, while malocclusion has been associated with temporomandibular disorders, postural imbalances, and potentially even cognitive impairment.
