The research of Henry Head and James Mackenzie, which has enriched the semiology and anatomophysiological knowledge of the segment in Neuraltherapeutic medicine, has made it possible to create a new form of approach enriched by the current concepts of embryology. This approach has the advantage of being individualized, based on the sensitivity assessment of each patient. This segmental intervention can target various levels, including the dermatome, fasciotome, myotome, and sclerotome. This chapter includes a description of how to use the mechanical algesimeter or algometer to determine the interventions to be performed at the dermatomic level in each of the patients. The new approach strategy is discussed in light of a retrospective study recently carried out in a group of patients in whom a segmental therapy was performed. This approach allowed a significant reduction in pain with a small number of sessions and with a requirement for deep procedures in less than 8%. It is proposed that, through this approach, therapeutic effects could be achieved in less time, minimizing adverse effects. At the end of the chapter, two illustrative clinical cases are shown.
