Boyhood and Mental Health Literacy in the Digital Age
摘要
We know that mental health literacy is increasingly important for boys and young men (BYM) in the digital age. In extreme cases, exposure to digital spaces can contribute to self-harm, depression, social anxiety and even suicide. However, at the same time, recent research highlights how the digital can be an important space for educating on mental health literacy. The aim of this chapter is to explore why mental health literacy is critical in digital spaces and explore efforts to raise awareness among BYM regarding barriers to their well-being.
