INTENSIO
摘要
This essay explores the concept of intensity as a key to rethinking life and thought beyond the logic of identity and contradiction. Through a genealogy that includes Leibniz, Bergson, Ruyer, and Deleuze, the intensive is presented as the cosmogenetic principle of the real: a force that precedes all representation and measurement, but is not inarticulate. Reality is process, but process proceeds through infinitesimal qualitative variations before quantitative ones. Feeling them is the task of a transcendental empiricism and a psychic mathematics. Differential calculus is the writing of an ontology of becoming rather than a tool of mathematical analysis, because intensity is the sign of the living. To admit this is to resolve the knot of dynamic structuralism by conjugating form and event, eternity and time.
