This chapter integrates political economy, biopolitics, and care within the context of aging, proposing new directions for future research in these areas. It examines the impact of neoliberal policies on eldercare, the role of biopolitical governance in shaping aging populations, and the emotional labor involved in caregiving. This chapter highlights the importance of interdisciplinary approaches and place-based policies to address the complex dynamics of aging, aiming to contribute to a critical geography of aging that encompasses political, economic, and emotional dimensions.
