This paper analyses the use of social robotics in museums to enhance educational programmes and create innovative edutainment experiences. In particular, it explores how social robots, used as interactive and customisable guides, can facilitate meaningful learning and the development of soft skills such as communication, collaboration and critical thinking. Through the analysis of literature and real case studies, it emerges how social robots are able to engage visitors, adapting to their needs and offering tailor-made educational paths. The main research question investigates how social robotics can enrich museum educational programmes, enhancing both the visitor experience and the educational value of visits. The research also outlines future perspectives on the integration of robotics in museums, reflecting on the benefits, challenges and implications for the cultural and educational sector.
