There is an urgent need to address the challenges of displacement which now affects more than 40 million people in Africa. This chapter discusses the role of digital financial technology in providing effective crises responses and building long-term economic resilience in fragile settings. Through case studies and project examples, the chapter highlights how innovative financing mechanisms hosted by the African Development Bank—such as the Transition Support Facility and the Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility—work in tandem with strategic partnerships along the Humanitarian-Development-Peace nexus. The chapter also emphasizes the need for more innovative development solutions and financing, leveraging partnerships to strengthen digital financial inclusion in Africa, especially in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, to build long-term resilience for stability and peace in Africa.
