The new generation of high resolution NWP modelling is going towards the sub-km resolution (750 m). Within the DestinE DEODE project, we have been running in an offline mode the air quality model CHIMERE on a 2 km and 750 m grid. An important task was the development of an interface between the high-resolution numerical weather prediction (NWP) data, from ALARO and AROME-HARMONIE canonical system configurations, which are provided for different domains. In a first phase, we have been focusing on two case studies, one winter case over Austria during January 2017 and one over the BeNeLux domain during a summer heatwave event in August 2018. During the summer case, the model was able to simulate the elevated ozone concentrations. During the winter case, the buildup of particulate matter was partially reached. Results and set-up will be discussed.

摘要
