The Effectiveness of Chatbots in Delivering Healthcare Solutions: A Comprehensive Analysis
摘要
AI revealing and evolving technologies within health systems shall rather be one big unit to address current emerging issues regarding access to health resources and the inability of patients to actively participate in health- promoting lifestyles. This study constituted an extensive inquiry into the use of health chatbots primarily as an enabling medium to obtain medical help and support from the patients dealing with an array of health parameters. The research design was mixed-method and spanned a 6-month period of patient interactions. They studied three major health institutions from metropolitan areas regarding their operational effectiveness and limitations in the realization of the chatbot-based health services solution. The research design of the study comprised both qualitative and quantitative types, which include patient surveys, semi- structured interviews, and clinical outcome report methods. The study also proved that health chatbots were highly promising in their potential to deliver different health information messages through routine inquiries, as well as medication reminders. Major gains were in terms of healthcare accessibility, reduced wait times for basic inquiries, and lower workloads with the time spent by healthcare providers. Qualitative benefits were increased engagement by patients and improved preparation prior to consultations with humans, although some limitations were exhibited concerning dealing with more complicated case types and developing longer-term trust with patients. Ultimately, the research can contribute toward the development of standards and best practices within the healthcare framework and evaluation of healthcare chatbots, which are a dire need in the emerging fast-developing field. The important complexities of different populations were also considered, such as security and privacy concerns anticipated and an inability to demonstrate how effectively the new system would work with the preexisting ones. Thus, this study reveals that while healthcare chatbots in primary spaces demonstrate the promise of working through standardized queries related to health and providing first aid guidance, they are far from adequate for use as a primary exclusive solution.
