Revision shoulder arthroplasty after infection is a challenging problem. Because of the increased number of shoulder prostheses in recent decades, it is becoming an increasingly frequent problem. Recent studies have highlighted that single-stage revision could be a good alternative for the treatment of these patients. Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) eradication rate seems to be a little bit higher in single-stage cases, but the main advantage is the radical diminution of noninfection-related complications rate, the re-revision rate, and reinfection rate in single-stage cases in comparison with two-stage revision. In this chapter, we will briefly review the state of the art on this topic.
