In this chapter, I critically examine a strict dichotomization between denominationalDenominational and non-denominational education on ethicsEthics, ethical. Ethical literacyLiteracy includes knowledge of differences between religiously and secularly motivated ethicalEthics, ethical positions, and of conflicts that may arise between them. However, ethicalEthics, ethical literacyLiteracy should also include knowledge of how the development of both religious and secularSecularism, secular, secularity ethicalEthics, ethical approaches share an existentialExistential search for meaning, and of how religious conceptions of ethicsEthics, ethical and values may contribute to collaborative approaches. This provides opportunities to transcend what appear to be sharp dividing lines between religious and secularSecularism, secular, secularity ethicsEthics, ethical.
