The chapter presents a study aimed at improving the accuracy of measurements using the coordinate measuring arm (CMA). Various aspects of CMA technical characteristics are considered in detail, including sources of errors that affect the accuracy of measurements. The procedure for calibration of CMA is described, including tests for effective diameter, single-point measurement, and volumetric measurement. The requirements for calibration devices used for tests are considered. The results of the uncertainty estimate for each test are presented.
