In an ever-changing world, it is more than expected that the roles and skills of tourism professionals also undergo substantial shifts, requiring a new mindset and a more proactive approach from the professionals, the employers, and also from the educational institutions that provide their training options. Tourism Higher Educa tion Institutions (THEI) are constantly thriving to adapt to these market needs by designing new curricula and adopting more engaging and innovative teaching methods. This relentless adaptation and emergence of more active and student-centred approaches has, in many cases, been facilitated by technology, making use of its diverse applications and possibilities. Technological devices and digital platforms have become prevalent in THE, as tourism is an industry highly dependent on information and communication flows. With an increasing focus on students’ experiential and autonomous learning, learner-generated content supported or uncovered by digital means has also emerged as a powerful tool in promoting the development of relevant skills such as critical thinking and creativity, while also stimulating a higher level of engagement and active participation. This paper aims to contribute to the ongoing discussion on the role of learnergenerated content (LGC) in the students learning journey by sharing insights on an experience regarding the development of a Tourism Quality Management eBook. The findings reinforce the efficiency of LGC as a learning tool for Tourism Higher Education as it promotes engagement and reflection with digital real-time access and collaboration being extremely valued by students.
