The widespread adoption of e-commerce has revolutionized international commerce, providing unparalleled convenience for consumers and extensive prospects for firms. Nevertheless, this advancement in technology presents notable security and privacy obstacles, specifically regarding the transmission of confidential information over networks. This paper examines the difficulties associated with maintaining privacy on e-commerce websites and offers feasible solutions. The research centers on finding prevalent security vulnerabilities, assessing the efficacy of existing security protocols, and analyzing the intricate regulatory framework that governs data privacy. The study utilizes a comprehensive methodology, which involves examining existing literature and employing survey methodologies to evaluate the current security protocols and technologies employed by e-commerce platforms, emphasizing their advantages and disadvantages. The study examines consumer attitudes and expectations concerning data privacy, with the goal of formulating tactics that e-commerce enterprises might employ to establish and sustain trust through clear data practices and strong security measures.
