Home energy management system (HEMS) provides opportunities to promote flexible methods for residential consumers through its developed functionalities. The energy management algorithms motivate consumers by improving economic benefits and maintaining the reliability of the system. However, the selfish EMSs might not always present an effective solution in terms of economy and system efficiency. In addition, due to uncoordinated scheduling and electricity price signals, these strategies may lead to unexpected issues.
