The aim of this chapter is to develop an optimal energy management strategy for a residential microgrid-interactive PV-WT system, with battery storage operating under ToU and FIT tariff. To this purpose, the first section of this chapter is reserved for the configuration of the community MG and the different components. The second section is devoted to exploring optimization for energy management for a given residential application. The study proposes an approach that can minimize the grid usage for electricity consumption and maximize the sale of renewable energy PV, WT, and battery storage.
