By and large, EVs will have a high penetration rate in the future personal transportation market. Their load can be modeled as critical and controllable load, which could be shifted to alternative time periods to achieve different objectives. However, the uncoordinated EV charging behaviors may negatively impact the power quality, the resiliency, and the economics of the distribution grid. Therefore, an efficient and coordinated EV charging model for a large number of participants with heterogeneous charging targets is built.

摘要

By and large, EVs will have a high penetration rate in the future personal transportation market. Their load can be modeled as critical and controllable load, which could be shifted to alternative time periods to achieve different objectives. However, the uncoordinated EV charging behaviors may negatively impact the power quality, the resiliency, and the economics of the distribution grid. Therefore, an efficient and coordinated EV charging model for a large number of participants with heterogeneous charging targets is built.
