Consequences of a Major Crude Oil Spill in the Territorial Sea
摘要
Regarding the political and military situation in the Black Sea Region, the authors propose to carry out a study on the environmental impact in the event of a major accidental spill of crude oil on the surface of the Black Sea water as a result of the explosion of a marine mine near an oil tanker. To carry out the study, we use the PISCES II Emergency Simulator, which is specially designed to be used in the process of training the personnel, from the management of the command center and operational center. Following the simulation, we will obtain data and information regarding the evolution of the crude oil spill over time, as well as the time period that the competent authorities have at their disposal to take all necessary measures to avoid pollution of the shoreline.
