摘要
Have you ever been asked for directions while walking down the street, waiting at a traffic light and like these situations? There are some people often be asked for directions, others do not. When one person asks someone for directions, what part of people does that person look at before deciding to ask for directions or something to someone on the street? Facial impressions influence interpersonal evaluations and this influence is especially strong in the first time meeting. There are many related studies focus on faces. However, these studies don’t focus on the relationship between people’s face and feelings when they ask someone something on the street. In this study, we clarify a face that makes people would like to ask for directions by using AU (Action Unit) and closed itemset mining. In the experiments, we use AI-generated images of Japanese faces for revealing impressions on various faces. As a result, it was indicated that eyes and mouth impressions are important when people decide whether to ask someone for directions. In the future work, we conduct additional experiments about people’s face including their each atmosphere. Additionally, our final goal is that the results of this study apply to improve tour guide in the Japanese tourism industry.
