Enhancing Consumer Engagement Through Metaverse Marketing: Opportunities and Challenges

The Metaverse is transforming digital marketing by providing immersive, AI-powered, and interactive brand-consumer interactions. While Metaverse marketing is becoming more popular in rich economies, emerging markets face distinct obstacles and opportunities in integrating it into their digital ecosystems. The purpose of this study is to explore opportunities and characterize the factors that influence the intention to use the metaverse platforms, with a particular emphasis on voluntary adoption for product purchases by the consumers. The study is descriptive in nature and will explore creative Metaverse marketing techniques that focus on improving customer experiences and comprehending consumer behavior by using state-of-the-art models, platforms, and technology. This study provides insight into attitude of customers’ towards metaverse marketing. The researchers have examined the factors such as technology familiarity, perceived benefits, trust in virtual environments, and immersive engagement that have a substantial impact on customers’ motivation to participate in metaverse commerce. Important marketing strategies that could boost customer engagement are also identified in this study, including influencer collaborations, gamification, and AI-powered personalization. Furthermore, the study identifies significant barriers to Metaverse marketing implementation, such as technological accessibility, regulatory challenges, and digital literacy gaps.
