This chapter explores the evolving role of mentorship in shaping teacher candidates into competent and ethical practitioners. Drawing on narrative self-study and reflective questions, four practicum faculty advisors (PFAs) share personal stories and insights from their experiences. They highlight approaches rooted in intersectional, inclusive, Indigenizing, belonging, and queering practices, offering a rich tapestry of strategies for effective practicum advising. Through these reflections, the authors emphasize mentorship as a foundational pedagogical tool, fostering growth and learning for mentors and mentees when the journey is collaborative and shared, alongside and together. This chapter provides valuable perspectives on mentorship as a transformative practice in education. Readers will gain insight into how mentorship can transform pre-service educational praxis and professional development.
