Powerful cyclones cause devastation due to their powerful winds, copious amounts of rain, and flooding. Cyclone Biparjoy in the Arabian Sea in 2023 is a prime example of their growing power. The study shed light on the cyclone's path and effects through careful examination of satellite imagery and meteorological data, which is essential for developing resilience and disaster response plans. Depending on where they form, cyclones—also known as hurricanes, typhoons, or tropical cyclones—are enormous atmospheric forces that can cause enormous damage. To provide light on Cyclone Biparjoy's beginning, path, and effects, this study examined the storm, which developed in the Arabian Sea in 2023. This study examined Cyclone Biparjoy, which developed in the Arabian Sea in 2023 and provided important new information about its origin, path, and effects. Such studies are essential for policies related to mitigation and preparedness for disasters. The study emphasized how temperature changes, wind speeds, and periods of intense rainfall can cause flash floods and cyclones, damage to infrastructure, and changes to the environment. Utilizing supervised classification techniques, a land use and land cover (LULC) evaluation utilizing Sentinel data looked at changes in water bodies, vegetation, farming, built-up land, and barren land before and after the storm. Sentinel-1 images were used to map the flooded areas. Through geometric rectification and high-resolution image classification, the flooded and non-flooded areas were delineated. A comprehensive impact assessment that identified the most impacted locations was made possible by the integration of meteorological data with information on population density and land use.
