This chapter provides illustrations of the various aspects of Fluctuation Relations and Fluctuation Theorems. We revisit some paradigmatic models of equilibrium and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, deriving in each case the Large Deviation Principle giving rise to a fluctuation theorem and discussing its physical meaning and its particular features: convexity properties, smoothness of the entropic pressure, phase transitions, etc.

摘要

This chapter provides illustrations of the various aspects of Fluctuation Relations and Fluctuation Theorems. We revisit some paradigmatic models of equilibrium and nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, deriving in each case the Large Deviation Principle giving rise to a fluctuation theorem and discussing its physical meaning and its particular features: convexity properties, smoothness of the entropic pressure, phase transitions, etc.
